The pillow is very soft and fluffy, fluffier than I thought it would be. I think it will be perfect for her in a year's time, for a first pillow I find it quite big (she's just turned 1). The wool has a lovely sort of lumpy texture as you would expect, so if you are after a small/flat and 'even' pillow, perhaps could try something else first. I love the pillow though, and she is using it from time to time and will use it once she's a bit bigger! Also, as the pillowcase and cover are cotton, she does get a llittle sweaty sometimes regardless of the wool stuffing, can't imagine having a polyester filled one..!!
