The product is really good. I was worried it wouldn't live up to its description, but it really is great. Inflating and deflating are really easy and very quick, and it only takes 3 minutes. The surface is really soft, it's not as cold as I thought it would be; the cover provided really helps to remove the cool feeling of the plastic. My mum is currently using it while she stays with me. It's proving its worth as a permenant bed. Really like it, am considering buying another one as a spare.

My only very small gripe we wasted 24 hours "charging" the built in pump-as directed on the front of the instruction manual-only to find via this forum, that this bed does not have a rechargeable pump!! You can inflate the bed right out of the box,just plug in and go.

I am very fussy about beds. In fact I AM the Princess and the Pea. VERY sensitive!! I dont like foam because of the fumes or off-gassing (asthma), I dont like springs because invariably they stick into me and I dont like latex (hard) or cotton (like lying on the ground its so hard !). I found what looked like the perfect modern-technology mattress online but it cost £16k - a bit over budget!!! Finally a friend suggested an airbed and I tried hers out. It was comfortable so I bought the Platinum Aerobed. I LIKE IT !! I know it is not supposed to be used as a regular bed but thats how I use it. I recommend that you do exactly as they say: inflate it and then lie on it and adjust it.....because the adjustment seems to cause the middle part only to soften up and make it a more comfortable sleep. My only recommendation to the Manufacturers is that they put a warmer surface cover on it because when you lie on it you feel your body heat being absorbed by the bed. I think the materials conduct the heat away rather than acting like an insulator....so it takes a long time to create a 'nest of warmth' around the body if you tend to have a colder body. For this reason I will send off for a lambswool topper. But otherwise I am very happy with it. Obviously one worries that it could get a puncture but the material used seems pretty thick so I am hopeful it will last a long time. I like that it is raised up to the height of a normal bed and it is quite level now I have slept on it. I felt at first it might not be level but I deflated it and started again and it was fine.. Moths ate our old double bed in the spare room, so we had to get rid of it. But I was loathe to buy a new bed until we completely redecorate. The Platinum Raised Aerobed was the ideal solution for us. It looks like a normal bed when dressed with the valance and cover and the height and stability mean it's fine for my mother-in-law to sleep on. It also means we can turn any room in the house into a bedroom in a matter of minutes: the living room so that my stepson can watch tv in bed when he stays; the study so that my mother-in-law is nearest to the loo at night. Hi, I ordered an Aerobed Platinum raised double from SlumberSlumber.com at nearly 2.00pm on 12 August and received it before 12.00pm the following day. It was something of an emergency as our previous bed had collapsed and as we have ongoing work taking place the last thing we needed was to organise removal of our new bed from storage as it would have been time consuming, costly, and risk damaging an expensive piece of furniture, therefore the Aerobed I ordered at short notice was not only obtained at a very reasonable price (shame on some more well known competitors!), but was delivered within 24 hrs from N. Ireland to London at a fraction of the cost other more locally placed establishments could never match. In addition, the staff are identifiable and are genuinely helpful as it appears they actually enjoy their job and talking to their customers. It would be hard to offer any negative feedback as such occurrences only take place when customers are often treated as an unpleasant intrusion into a working day, the end of which is eagerly awaited. Certainly no complaints from me, and am happily recommending the company to anyone with sleep-related requirements who will listen, and to anyone else regardless of whether they want to hear it as a model of how to make a simple business concept of selling goods that people want to buy at reasonable cost work effectively.

We needed an extra bed for when we have two sets of guests staying. We were thinking of getting a sofabed, but didn't really want it taking up space all the time. Someone suggested an Aerobed and I researched on the internet and found lots of good reviews. i was a bit sceptical to see so much praise, but as time was running out before our guests came I decided to place the order for the Platinum Raised bed. This seemed the best option as quick to set up and take down and guests wouldn't be near the floor! I placed the order just before 12 Noon on the Wednesday and paid for next day delivery, good for only £5, and it arrived as promised by noon the next day. Our guest slept on the bed for 4 nights. I joked that most reviews were guests so maybe they were being polite, but this was my honest mother in law and she really felt it was very comfortable. She slept in the bed alone, so couldn't vouch for how it would be with two people, but would definitely use it again when her husband is there too. It was very easy to put down when she went home, and much smaller than a sofabed to store. So overall I have been very impressed and am happy to add another good review.

purchased this bed as unable to get upstairs following knee operation. The communication and delivery was excellent. its only been a few days but the bed is so easy and rapid to set up and inflate and deflate. packs away easily into the bag for storage. its height is perfect to get on/off. the best thing is that it is as comfortable as my normal bed, probably more! as i have to sleep on my back. it can be adjusted when you are on there as well with the remote control. it is solid and there is no rolling or the pillows sliding off. when i have got better it will be a great occasional and guest bed (maybe too comfortable for guests!) 5th Aug, 2010

Having recently pulled a muscle in my 75 year old back I suffered agonies as I tried to sleep. (Both before and after physiotherapy). As my howls of pain were disturbing my wifes sleep, and as the bed in the 2nd bedroom gave me no comfort, I invested in what I consider to be a reasonably priced Aerobed Platinum Raised Single. It arrived 2 days after I placed my order.(10out of10 for that S/S) I unpacked it unaided. Plugged it in. and inflated it without problem. (10 out of 10 for ease of use). That night I got in my new kip, and found that it was infinitely adjustable with regard to the level of comfort/support that the bed gave me using the control switch. Since then I have had no more agonising wake-ups during the night. Wunderbar!! All things considered, buying this bed was a wise investment on my part. Must go. It is now bo-bo's time.

Wishing to have a touch of luxury during our summer camping this year, we chose aerobed because we have tried them before at friends and been impressed. But we went a step higher and bought a raised platinum king size version. What has impressed us about this model is the way the pump is integrated inside the mattress rather than outside as they were in the past. So neat. The remote control adjustment has also been tested from one extreme to the other (over and over) by our son! Very smart. Easy to use. Ridiculous comfort for camping. This is the second of three of these beds that I now have, depending on who is coming to stay I use the king or single and they are always praised for their comfort. The third one I have is a king sized low level one which fits perfectly in a tent in the conservatory for my 3 young grandchildren to share for a sleeping adventure! All are brilliantly spacesaving and stored in a wardrobe when not in use freeing up the room for normal use for most of the time. Super robust quality and worth the money.

I don't have too much bedroom space in my house for visitors - especially couples. I began to think an airbed may be the answer, and did a bit of surfing to find out other buyers' experiences. As my friends and I are are now into the middle aged bracket, the prospect of a raised bed was a positive attraction. Indeed it has proved to be really useful already and is comfortable as well!. It packs away when not needed, and though not "cheap" it was very well priced compared with other bulkier fold up alternatives. Pleased? Yes very. Recommend? Yes definitely.

An excellent buy. The bed was so easy to set up and put away. The first guest who used the bed was 7 months pregnant and was a little unsure as to whether the bed would be comfortable enough but she slept like a "baby"!!  On that recommendation, I tried it and had to agree - I had a really restful sleep. Having a bed that can be easily stored away, has given us so much more room in our spare bedroom. The service received was also excellent- website easy to use and delivery was prompt. Already recommended the site to a neighbour who has ordered goods. Thank You

I cannot recommend the Aerobed enough, I was reluctant at first to spend such a lot on an air bed and trying to persuade the hubby as well was a challenge! but having read many reviews we decided to get one rather than wasting money on a sofabed which im certain wouldn't last and takes a lot of space. The Aerobed platinum raised looks and feels like a real bed and my guests had a full week of brilliant nights sleep and were amazed that they were sleeping on an air bed! (so much that when they returned home to their own bed they hardly slept the first night!) . The inflation and deflation of it is fantastically quick and in 3 minutes you can transform a room into a bedroom and back again and it really does fold back into the bag extremely easily with room unlike most airbeds where once you have removed it from the bag no matter how hard you try you never get them back in !! The only negative I would say about the bed is that the remote would be better if you could just press inflate/deflate and then let it go rather than having to hold the button in constantly whilst inflating/deflating but this is a minor thing really!. All in all I would highly recommend the Aerobed and the service received from Slumber Slumber was 1st class. 30th Mar, 2010

Once inflated it looks very similar to a normal bed, it's comfortable, and it's easy to inflate/deflate. Much better than a fixed sofabed as it allows me to use my spare room as a study when guests aren't staying. Only change I would make is to have a mechanism to avoid having to keep your finger on the 'inflate' button for 3 minutes while the bed inflates. Overall absolutely worth the money.

We tried the bed before our guests arrived not expecting that it would provide such a comfortable sleep. It was so easy to inflate and to deflate in minutes and we could choose the hardness or softness of the mattress to what we preferred. We particularly liked the valance and fitted mattress cover supplied. As yet not that good at folding the bed into the shape it came in but more practice will solve that no doubt. Ordering this product could not be simpler, the service was outstanding and the product was delivered right on time and the price was better than any other site we checked. We found the bed itself to meet expectations, it inflates at the touch of a button and looks just like a real bed once all the covers are put on. The comfort is excellent for a spare bed and the convenience is amazing. Would thoroughly recommend this product to anyone who needs an occasional spare bed but has limited space.

The Aerobed Platinum Raised was a bit of a risky purchase as it is a tad expensive for an airbed. However, it was just as good as the product bumff suggests, and definitely worth the money. The first guest to sleep on it was my 62 year old mum so it was bought with comfort in mind. She loved it - much better than the futon we'd had beforehand. Only down side of the bed is the weight as it's very heavy to lug around. I guess that's the price you pay for a quality product though. As for the service from SlumberSlumber, I have to say it was excellent. I ordered online, but phoned up to ask a few questions first. The phone was answered quickly ( ...and by a real person!) and staff were very helpful. The bed was dispatched a few hours after ordering, and I had it 48 hours later. I had been looking at the possibility of an Aerobed for a VIP family member. When browing on line I found Slumberslumber.com. Their website was very easy to browse but also had even more info on the Aerobed I was considering. The extra information was enough to convince my husband that this was the one for us!!. We went ahead and ordered it but were worried in case our order didn't go through ok so we rang and left a message on your answerphone. As soon at you were open the next morning we received a call confirming that all was well. The bed was delivered within the time scale and we couldn't wait to inflate it - its brilliant -, everything it says its is and more. We are delighted. I had two friends staying for a long weekend and I needed a quick, easy to put up and take down spare bed in order to convert my living room into a spare bedroom. I searched for what I thought would fit the occasion and I must say I am glad I came across the Aerobed. I set it up for my quests on the first night and noticed how quick it was to inflate to a comfortable bed and after that to deflate using the 'woosh' valve to quickly fold it away out of sight. With only a small spare room, we needed a comfortable single guest bed that we could store easily, and someone suggested the Aerobed. We're delighted: it's easy to inflate and deflate (much to the excitement of the family cat), packs away in its own bag, doesn't small like a lilo, and is very comfortable. It's a good size single - easily large enough for my visiting uncle - and the raised nature means that it feels like a "proper" bed rather than a blow-up. Slumber Slumber were great to deal with: excellent communication about my order, and very prompt delivery. Recommendations all round.

Can this be used as a regular Bed? If yes what care should I take?

These beds are intended for occassional use only, although we have had some customers who use it as normal bed.  The bed is made from a heavy duty PVC, care would have to be taken to ensure there are no sharp objects that could puncture the bed.
